DEAR KRISTA EWART

I'm a long time fan of Krista Ewart's work - ever since I first laid eyes on her darling decorated beach bungalow. . .

pink fridge and scallop detail everywhere?  yes, please.

So I was thrilled to see her perfectly charming home on the May cover of House Beautiful.  I spy lots and lots of Quadrille and Coleen & Company, among many other favorites.
Obsessed.

Henriot Floral and pink stripes? yes, yes . . . YES.

THIS . . .

outdoor area, is everything.

See more of her beautiful home and delightful interview here {her hubs gives her free reign - ahem, pay attention, HF}

KRISTA EWART, you rock.

THE BIG APPLE OF MY EYE

We had many adventures this past week during C & P's April break . . . We squeezed in a brief trip to one of my fave places on the planet.
Every time I visit New York, I'm desperate to bring a bit of it back home with me.
5. came across the lovely VERRIER BOUTIQUE as we were leaving grand central - adore their sparkly designs and will be purchasing a glittery print for C & P's room.
6. and of course the best thing you can bring home from NYC are the memories . . . we loved seeing MATILDA on broadway with Auntie Genine, and the train ride was fun, too.

Phoebe says her fave song from the show is 'WHEN I GROW UP' - which obvs makes me cry. Perhaps it was the swings, but I'm hoping it's a little bit more than that.

Thank you, Auntie Genine, for the wonderful trip, and thank you, Mom, for exposing me to Broadway & the other magical experiences the big Apple has to offer, so many times when I was young.
And thank you, New York, for never ever disappointing.

BOSTON STRONG

It's Marathon Monday here in Boston.
I get beyond emo about the marathon  . . .
And the runners this year trained during the worst winter in history- literally.

My two fave people in the world earned their medals - and being a spectator on both those days was an unparalleled experience.
I was filled with awe and pride, for them, and the complete strangers who ran beside them.

I could go on and on but instead I'll let these ad campaigns and real-life images speak for themselves.

In 1967, Kathrine Switzerwas the first woman to enter and complete the Boston Marathon as a numbered entry. She registered under the gender-neutral name of “K.V. Switzer”. After realizing that a woman was running, race organizer Jock Semple went after Switzer shouting, “Get the hell out of my race and give me those numbers.” However, Switzer’s boyfriend and other male runners provided a protective shield during the entire Marathon. These photographs taken of the incident made world headlines.
